YORKSHIRE CALL FOR DEADLINE AS WILLEY JOINS IPL
DAVID WILLEY has become the 12th Englishman in this year’s Indian Premier League after he agreed a £225,000 deal with Chennai super Kings — a move that has brought calls for a signing deadline.
The Yorkshire all-rounder, 28, is a replacement for the injured Kedar Jadhav.
Willey pulled out of a friendly at Leicestershire to negotiate his release but Yorkshire director of cricket Martyn Moxon said: ‘I’ll be calling for a cut- off date, after which players will not be allowed to go to the IPL. I hope the ECB support it.’
