Health champion aged just 12
A SCHOOLGIRL born with one leg who became a charity ambassador and mental health champion is now looking forward to buying a new dress. Jorja Furze, 12, says she will go shopping with her mother, Gabrielle, 3 , who will also accompany her on the day. She said: ‘I was really excited and shocked. I didn’t think I would get an invite.’
The youngster is an ambassador for the Steel Bones charity for civilian amputees.
Jorja, from near Ely, Cambridgeshire, has also set up a quiet space at her school where children can relax. She said: ‘Me and my friend both suffer from anxiety, we decided we should do something.’
