‘Jealous dentist’s plot to drug lawyer wife – then hack into phone using her thumbprint’

- By Richard Marsden

A DENTIST who thought his wife was cheating on him tried to buy a ‘date rape’ drug so he could then use her thumbprint to unlock her phone, a court heard yesterday.

Majid Mustafa, 47, had already gone to ‘great lengths’ to secretly record the actions of his lawyer wife, Renata Antczak, 49, jurors were told.

He fitted a spy camera in their car, downloaded software to monitor her computer use and installed an app that recorded her calls.

Last March, Mustafa allegedly asked friend Robert Lipinski, 46, to obtain date rape drug GHB.

In conversations between the pair, it was suggested they made the purchase jointly so Lipinski could use some of the drug on his partner, who he also believed was having an affair, Doncaster Crown Court heard. John

‘Leaves them with little or no memory’

Thackray, prosecuting, said Mustafa had become ‘obsessed’ with whether Miss Antczak, the mother of his two children, was being unfaithful. The court heard that Miss Antczak initially denied having an affair with a friend, Darius Klienhart, but was ‘ caught out’ by the camera in the car.

Mr Thackray said: ‘ What the defendant wanted was for his wife to admit she was having a sexual relationship with another man.’

Mustafa had also developed a mobile phone app allowing him to monitor phone calls, the court heard.

Last year Mustafa, from Bransholme, Hull, sought Mr Lipinski’s help. The date rape drug GHB was suggested because it ‘works by rapidly intoxicating any person who takes it’, leaving them with ‘little or no memory’ of when they were under the influence, Mr Thackray said.

During telephone conversations between Mustafa and Mr Lipinski, it was also suggested the dentist could interrogate his wife about the alleged affair while under the influence, the court heard.

Mustafa denies one count of intentionally inciting Mr Lipinski to obtain a noxious substance between March 30 and April 25.

Mr Thackray said Mustafa’s alleged offence came to the attention of police when his phone was handed in to officers. Recordings of calls between Mustafa and Mr Lipinski were revealed through his app.

Jurors were read a transcript of one of their conversations on March 30. Mustafa asked his friend if there was any way he could unlock his wife’s mobile phone. Mr Lipinski, a Polish national from Hull, replied that he would need either his wife’s password – which Mustafa said he did not know – or her thumbprint.

Mustafa said: ‘Tell me, Robert, [is there] something for sleep, some strong agent?’ Suggesting GHB, Mr Lipinski said: ‘It’s like a rape pill. You can get all the information from her the moment she takes it. I’ve read a lot about it. You can do whatever you want with the person.’

Mr Lipinski said it could be bought from contacts in Poland ‘without any problem’. The trial continues.
