DAME HELEN COSIES UP TO LEADING MAN

A REGULAR on the red carpet, Dame Helen Mirren does not often pose with her husband, Taylor Hackford — the 72-year-old U.S. film director prefers to stay behind the camera.

This week, however, he was spotted having an intimate lunch with the Oscar winner in LA, who looked fashionable in a white blouse, printed trousers and stiletto boots. She has been with Hackford for more than 30 years but she did not become his third wife until 1997.

‘We got married for legal reasons more than anything else,’ she has admitted. ‘I always said I have nothing against marriage, it just wasn’t to my taste — like turnips.’
