THE boss of G4S has taken a pay cut of nearly £1m after the firm’s performance lagged behind other FTSE 100 companies.

Ashley Almanza, chief executive at the British security company since 2013, took home £3.85m last year, the annual report said. He was handed £4.8m in 2016. His reduction in pay was mainly due to a fall in his annual bonus and performance pay. His salary increased from about £926,000 to £940,000, while his pension-related benefits also rose from about £231,500 to £235,000.
