Hip op Philip leaves hospital
THE Duke of Edinburgh finally left hospital yesterday ten days after undergoing a hip replacement, with a cheery wave for members of the public and media.
Prince Philip was admitted to the private King Edward VII Hospital last week for surgery after a month of severe discomfort.
It seems as if the 96-year-old, who is likely to still be using walking sticks or crutches at this stage, was keen not to be seen as incapacitated.
He left hospital via a private exit at midday and smiled and waved to the cameras as he was driven past the main entrance.
