BE RUTHLESS WITH JASMINE

-

WINTER jasmine is a wonderful plant, flowering from November until now.

However, it’s also a thuggish grower and needs careful control. Begin by removing as many aged stems as you can reach. If the plant has expanded outwards, cut away surplus growth.

Be ruthless here — winter jasmine will re-grow rapidly after severe pruning.

Young shoots that develop over the coming summer will flower profusely next winter.

Check for any stem tips that have bowed to the ground and taken root.
