It can only be the Grand National and the theme of this year’s race could be family ties. there’s Blaklion, for father and son Nigel and sam twiston-Davies; Baie Des Iles, ridden by Katie Walsh for her trainer husband Ross O’sullivan; Virgilio, for the skelton brothers Dan and harry; and Milansbar’s jockey Bryony Frost, already a Grade One winner this season, and daughter of the 1989 winning rider Jimmy, successful that year on Little Polveir.
