Shhh! It’s all gone quiet on Radio Quaker
PODCASTS may be associated with millennial hipsters, but one youth Quaker group has demonstrated they are nothing to shout about.
How? By releasing a 30-minute immersive podcast that is completely silent.
Well, there is a bit of background noise. In the episode of the Young Quaker Podcast, called the Silence Special, you can hear pages being turned and a clock ticking. The group of young Quakers in Nottingham created the episode to share an ‘oasis of calm’ with the world. They recorded one of their meetings where the group sits and contemplates the Puritan movement in silence.
Wouldn’t it be nice if some of our more overexcitable politicians were to take a leaf out of their book?
