Road block to stop burglar’s funeral march

-

PROTESTERS have vowed to stage a roadblock in a bid to stop a funeral procession for career criminal Henry Vincent passing the house where he was fatally stabbed.

Friends say Vincent’s family are planning a £100,000 funeral with a procession past the home of Richard Osborn-Brooks, pictured. The burglar was killed in a struggle when the pensioner found him raiding his property in the early hours of April 4.

But neighbours of Mr Osborn-Brooks, 78, have reportedly said they were planning to leave a dozen cars at the entrance to the road in Hither Green, South East London. One, named only as Mike, told The Sun: ‘We are going to block the road with vehicles so they can’t go up the road. It’s going to be a quiet protest.’

It follows controversy over a shrine to Vincent, 37, opposite the home of Mr Osborn-Brooks. The pensioner, whose wife is disabled, was initially arrested on suspicion of murder – but told two days later he would face no further action.
