PART OF MY PLANE IS MISSING
CAPTAIN TAMMIE JO SHULTS: ‘We have part of the aircraft missing so we’re going to need to slow down a bit.’
AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL: ‘Start looking for the airport. Altitude is your discretion, use caution for the downtown (Philadelphia) area.’
CAPT SHULTS: ‘Okay, could you have the medical meet us there on the runway as well? We’ve got injured passengers.’ AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL: ‘Injured passengers, okay, and is your airplane physically on fire?’ CAPT SHULTS: ‘No, it’s not on fire, but part of it’s missing. They said there’s a hole, and uh, someone went out.’ AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL: ‘It doesn’t matter, we’ll work it out there. The airport is just off to your right.’ CAPT SHULTS: ‘Airport’s in sight.’
