ACROSS Muslim regions of Russia, heartbroke­n mothers are waiting for news of their missing daughters, jihadi child brides who followed their husbands to start new lives in the so-called Islamic State. CROSSING CONTINENTS (RADIO 4, 11AM) joins Tim Whewell as he meets some of these women, before heading for Iraq to try to discover the fates of their children, many of whom were tricked into leaving their homes. While the Iraqi government is known to be holding many jihadi families, informatio­n is hard to come by, and desperate mothers are left wondering if they will ever see their daughters again.

THOMAS SOUTAR, whose psychic abilities have been of help to the police in the past, travels to the Scottish Highlands with his girlfriend, Kat. They are heading for a religious

retreat, hoping for a period of peace and calm. They are to be disappoint­ed. The locals are deeply suspicious of the man running the retreat, and THE SENSITIVE: HEART OF DARKNESS
