Litter? Take it away

WHAT an excellent article by Chris Packham on litter (Mail). Sadly, we live in a world that couldn’t care less.

The rot set in when nature study disappeared from schools’ curricula and discipline became a dirty word.

Two minutes from where I live, there are three takeaways and even though the council has provided bins, each morning the ground is littered with debris.

Two of the shops immediately clear it all up, but the third does nothing. The place is a dump.
