Her £266 ‘Jackie O’ dress

MEGHAN Markle took her cue from a former US First Lady when she joined Harry at a Commonwealth event last night. She wore a £266 little black ‘Jackie O’ dress by hip US label Black Halo. The dress features an asymmetrical neckline and was cinched at the waist with a leather belt. According to the label’s founder Laurel Berman, the dress, inspired by John F Kennedy’s wife Jackie Onassis, is a ‘modern classic designed to make women feel 2in taller and 5lbs thinner’. Meghan’s shoes were almost double the price: £505 Aquazzura Milano stilettos. She also carried a Gucci handbag and wore £8 5 18kt gold and diamond earrings from jeweller Birks.

The actress was at a women’s empowerment reception in London, where she and Harry praised the work of young activists campaigning to improve the education rights of girls.
