Proud litter picker-upper

WELL done, Daily Mail, on the Plastic Pick Up campaign.

I am a volunteer and do my best to keep my estate spotless. The council supplies me with a litter-picker, gloves and blue sacks. I must have filled hundreds of bags over the past two years with plastic bottles and cans thrown into hedges.

Most people appreciate my efforts and tell me I do an excellent job, but there will always be some who don’t care and scatter litter anywhere.

As well as keeping my local area tidy, litter-picking keeps me fit with all the walking I do. DAVID JEFFERIES,
