The smart set’s talking about...
Chocolate heiress Jemima Cadbury
A SCION of the chocolate dynasty, Jemima Cadbury is a firm fixture of the London social scene, attending the most fashionable parties and courting eligible bachelors including Lord Brocket’s heir, Alexander Nall-Cain.
Now, the 25-year-old Tatler pin-up is trying to turn her privileged lifestyle into a business — by becoming the official arbiter of cool.
She has started a website for those who want to be in the know, called Bee Bazaar. ‘It connects people with the fun things happening in London — the what, when, where,’ she tells me. ‘Things that I and my friends would want to do — something cultural and artistic.’
Jemima, who was educated at £34,380-per-year Heathfield School, Ascot, and lives in Notting Hill, is the great-great-great-granddaughter of John Cadbury, founder of Britain’s favourite confectioner.
‘Ironically, we don’t actually eat chocolate in the family,’ Jemima tells me. ‘People say: “Oh, you must get loads of free chocolate.” And I’m like, “No”. I don’t have a sweet tooth. I love pizza and pasta.’
Soon, Jemima could be joining another well-known dynasty as she is smitten with dashing Old Etonian David Tollemache, nephew of Lord Tollemache, the brewing heir.
During this heatwave, you might catch Jemima showing off her eyecatching sunbathing technique. She once shared a picture online (left) of her performing a handstand in a black bikini. In the caption, she explained: ‘Getting an even tan.’
