MOST POSSESSION: City had a staggering 83.01 per cent of the ball yesterday, breaking their record of 82.28 per cent set when they won the Premier League against QPR on the final day of the 2011-2012 season.

MOST PASSES ATTEMPTED: City attempted 1,015 passes, becoming the first Premier League team to play more than 1,000 passes in a single match. The previous best was 976, set by City against Everton last month.

MOST PASSES COMPLETED: They completed a record 942 of those 1,015 passes against Swansea. Against Everton last month they completed 905.

PSThe 5-0 win took City’s goal difference to 73. Chelsea hold the Premier League record of 71 in 2009-2010.
