Children’s headaches linked to vitamin B12
Children with headaches may have low vitamin B12 levels, suggests a study published in the journal neurological Sciences.
researchers in turkey found that children who complained of headaches had lower B12 levels than other children.
When they were given supplements, their headaches cleared up within three months. Vitamin B12 is involved in producing the myelin sheath that surrounds nerves, which might help explain its role in headache, they wrote.
it also helps the body produce red blood cells, converts food into energy and plays a role in regulating mood.
Food sources include fortified cereals.
