Well done for trying, Costantino!

-

IT’S always fun watching players trying to replicate their great moments from the past and yesterday it was the turn of the Italian, Costantino Rocca. He was at St Andrews where, at the 1995 Open, he holed an outrageous 65ft putt from the Valley of Sin to force a play-off against John Daly. This time he had 20 or so attempts and let’s just say that only a couple went even close. His efforts certainly emphasised why it was such a special moment, back in the day. Rocca and a host of fellow golden oldies including Daly and Sir Nick Faldo will be at the Old Course in July for the first Senior Open to be staged at the Home of Golf.
