Gigi’s mum outshines her birthday girl, 23
U.S. model Gigi Hadid was upstaged by her own mother at her 23rd birthday party this week.
Gigi, who recently split from ex-One Direction singer Zayn Malik, turned heads in a strapless gold Versace dress. But attention was diverted when her mum, reality TV star Yolanda Hadid, 54, turned up in a blingy Tom Ford gown.
While Gigi and sister Bella ,21, boast multi million pound contracts with top fashion brands, Yolanda was keen to remind her eldest daughter of simpler times. Posting this snap of her as a baby on social media, she reflected: ‘ When mommy used to be your full time photographer and stylist.’
As well as Yolanda and Bella (in a vintage Dior leopard print dress flecked with gold), Gigi was joined in New York by her real estate developer dad Mohamed Hadid, 69, who was divorced from Yolanda in 2000.
