APRIL
When winter warms its icy hand On spring’s rekindled glow, Relinquishing its bitter grasp, Allowing things to grow. When buds are bursting into life From every eager tree, And birds are busy building nests To raise a family. Each April seems to bring new hope Of better things in store, But then your income tax demand Comes tumbling through the door. Ron Missellbrook, Portsmouth, Hants.
