Pension triple whammy

Our private sector pensions were once the envy of the world. But funds have suffered a triple whammy: the new Labour raid on tax relief; the collapse in interest rates and annuity returns; and many of us are living a lot longer. none of this is the fault of pensioners.

We need to avoid a race to the bottom between the private and public sectors and find a way of restoring private pensions.
