DAY 10

The harbour of Finland’s capital is stunning, but its historic city centre even more so. The first shore excursion is a walking tour through Porvoo, home to the poet Runeberg, then back to Helsinki, from City Hall to its Opera House via Sibelius Park and Temppeliaukio ‘Rock’ church – carved out of rock. Sibelius lovers will enjoy a scenic drive to his villa at Ainola, where he composed many works. (Day 11, at sea)
