Site where girls ‘auction virginity’

-

THE tawdry website on which Dominic Raab’s aide allegedly hunted for a ‘sugar daddy’ claims to have 10million members.

Offering ‘mutually beneficial relationships’, Seeking Arrangement matches wealthy men with younger women. Dozens of Britons have even used the site to sell or auction their virginity.

Although the site insists it is not a front for prostitution, men are expected to pay ‘dates’ a monthly allowance – a practice known as ‘sugaring’. Men must also pay a monthly subscription and are encouraged to reveal their net worth.

Young women, known as ‘sugar babies’, can advertise for free and state a ‘lifestyle expectation’ of how much they would like to be given, tending to be at least £2,000 per month. Many are students trying to persuade older men to pay tuition fees and accommodation costs.

An investigation found girls as young as 15 on Seeking Arrangement posing as 18-year-olds. Launched in 2006, the site boasts two million ‘sugar daddies’ and eight million ‘sugar babies’ across 139 countries.

Seeking Arrangement insists it encourages ‘real relationships’ and claims to remove dozens of profiles for escorts every day.
