Up for Turner Prize... a video shot on phone
A FILM which was recorded on an iPhone and lasts just 32 minutes has been shortlisted for the Turner Prize.
Bridgit, by Glasgow-based artist Charlotte Prodger, features shots of her trainers resting on a table and a moving lorry.
Also nominated for the £25,000 prize are Luke Willis Thompson’s two portrait-films of Diamond Reynolds, who livestreamed the aftermath of her boyfriend’s killing by police.
The other two nominees are Forensic Architecture, who claim to uncover human rights abuses, and Naeem Mohaiemen, whose films focus on hard-Left movements. The winner is announced in December.
