BBC’s Justin Webb ribs pal Jeremy Bowen

JUSTIN WEBB, one of the Today programme’s presenters since 2009, has just unearthed this vintage snap of Jeremy Bowen.

The BBC’s Middle East editor sports a Lionel Richie moustache, which was perfectly fashionable in 1984, the year the photograph was taken and when Richie topped the charts with his hit, Hello.

‘We started as trainees together this week 34 years ago,’ reflects Webb. ‘You haven’t aged a bit.’

Bowen (pictured today, inset), 58, is, of course, almost a year older than Webb.
