Teacher ‘had sex with pupil in plane toilet’

A teAcher appeared in court yesterday accused of having sex with a 16-year- old pupil in an aeroplane toilet.

eleanor Wilson, 28, who taught physics, denies four charges of sexual activity with the sixth former, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

the incident is alleged to have happened on the flight home from a school trip to see the Large hadron collider near Geneva in Switzerland.

Wilson wore a grey dress and black cardigan for the hearing at Bristol crown court. She spoke only to confirm her name, nationality and date of birth, and to confirm that she would be denying charges over the incident on August 2, 2015.

Wilson told Judge James Patrick: ‘I know what I want to plead. I want to plead not guilty.’

the teacher, who had been head of keystage four at the school, an academy in Bristol, when the offences are said to have taken place, was released on unconditional bail and told to return for a fourday trial on October 1.
