Face of the minister’s aide suspended for ‘selling sex on website for sugar daddies’
THIS is the Tory minister’s aide allegedly caught selling sex on a ‘sugar daddy’ website.
Rebecca Tott, diary secretary to 44- year- old housing minister Dominic Raab, is a civil service poster girl who has been used in promotional videos and blogs.
But the 20-year- old was suspended on Wednesday over claims she met men through a website that links attractive young women with wealthy older ‘sugar daddies’ who lavish money and gifts on them, often in return for sex.
It came as the same ministry was hit by another, unrelated, scandal after cocaine was reportedly found in the building by a staff member.
Police were called in after the drug was found on the first floor last week. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the substance was cocaine, according to the Daily Telegraph. A Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government spokesman said police ‘ advised no further action was needed’.
Miss Tott sparked security fears this week after allegedly discussing her work with an undercover reporter posing as a sugar daddy. It prompted MI5 to investigate potential UK security threats, given her apparent willingness to share details of Mr Raab’s whereabouts.
Miss Tott met the reporter twice – for which she was paid £750 each time – including at a five-star hotel less than a mile from the House of Commons, according to the Daily Mirror. She is barred by the Official Secrets Act from revealing sensitive or confidential information gained through her job, but she reportedly spoke of her role minutes after meeting the reporter.
She allegedly boasted of knowing Mr Raab’s ‘ every move’ and laughed about the idea of having sex with the reporter on his desk. She reportedly said: ‘I know everything about him. I know his every move. I know where he is today.’
Miss Tott joined the civil service on an apprenticeship at 16. She was hailed as a ‘success story’ after gaining a full-time role, featuring in promotional blogs and videos.
The aide, whose sister is waitress Laura Tott of Channel 4 show First Dates, told The Sun: ‘This is having huge implications on us as a family. Obviously the allegations aren’t fantastic. They aren’t great for my career, but we’ll deal with that.’
