Oops...‘career divorcee’s’ new beau is still married
UNKINDLY labelled a ‘ career divorcee’ after amassing a fortune through her four marriages, socialite Susan Sangster has found love again.
But, awkwardly for Susan, her wealthy new boyfriend, Charles Graham, is still married to a Brazilian firecracker called Analida.
‘It’s a very delicate situation,’ one of their friends tells me. Susan, 61, who retains the surname of her third husband, the late pools and racing tycoon Robert Sangster, coyly says she cannot comment ‘at this time’.
Graham, 62, who is chairman of his own Knightsbridge-based property investment company, confirms he is not divorced. ‘We are separated,’ he tells me. Analida, 58, is understood to have moved out of their £2 million home in London’s Battersea.
Two years ago, Charles and Analida were looking forward to the launch in Brazil of a 56ft ketch designed by the late Ed Burnett, creator of Gloriana, the barge built for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
At one stage, Charles shared an address with the late gambler Dan Meinertzhagen, one of six friends of Lord Lucan who gathered at John Aspinall’s house the day after ‘Lucky’ Lucan disappeared in 1974.
Perhaps it will soon be time for Charles and Sue to roll the marital dice?
