season approaches, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leading from the front. Their transport should be sorted, but for everyone else, it can be tricky finding the right car for the big day. That’s where Clive Rooke and his company Nostalgia Wedding Cars come in. A former teacher and vintage car enthusiast, he has five models, including a 1932 Austin Ranelagh (pictured) with acres of legroom, perfect for the longest wedding dress train.

Clive operates mainly in Gloucester­shire, and still has dates free this summer. Of the Austin, he says: ‘It does everything slowly, taking you back to a different era. Stepping in and out is easy and elegant.’

And there’s thought to be only one other car of its kind in the country. So if Harry and Meghan do get stuck . . .
