Klopp demands calm for return leg in Rome

- By DOMINIC KING Liverpool v Stoke LIVE on Sky Sports Main Event from 11.30pm. Kick-off 12.45pm.

JURGEN KLOPP urged Liverpool fans travelling to Rome next week to behave responsibly in an emotional plea for peace. Liverpool released a statement last night to say they had held positive talks with Roma, the Italian police and UEFA, having called for an extraordinary meeting in the Italian capital. Five thousand Liverpool fans are expected in the Eternal City for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. Those without tickets have been urged to remain at home. Klopp (right) was horrified when he was told about the attack on 53-year-old Sean Cox outside Anfield on Tuesday — he remains in a critical condition. ‘I think Tuesday showed the beauty of the game during the match and then its most ugly face before it,’ said Klopp. ‘When I heard of it I cannot describe my emotions in English. ‘It should never have happened, and it should not happen in the future and we all have to do everything to make sure things like that will not happen any more. I really ask for responsibility from everyone. It is a football game, not more, so let’s play football. ‘If Roma win that game and get to the final then they deserve it, if we go through we will deserve it.’ TV:
