Just two weeks after court shame, Ant’s out of rehab... and he can’t stop smiling

ONLY two weeks ago he appeared gaunt and unshaven outside court following his drink-drive disgrace. The TV host was fined a record £86,000 after a crash that left two families fearing for their lives.

But last Thursday there seemed no trace of the troubled figure who emerged from the smash looking bleary and dazed.

Grinning and joking, the fresh-faced 42year-old was seen taking his dog for a walk in a London park after a month in rehab. A source said the Britain’s Got Talent host looked ‘healthier and brighter’ as he walked his black labrador Hurley and talked to another dog walker. ‘It was great to see him looking so well and much more upbeat,’ an onlooker told The Sun.

The TV star went into rehab after his Mini crashed into two cars in South-West London in March while he was twice over the limit. Careering on the wrong side of the road, he sped around a corner and hit two vehicles that were carrying children.

McPartlin later told Wimbledon magistrates’ court he was ‘ashamed and mortified’. The source added: ‘It’s been a very difficult month for him, but the treatment has done him the world of good.’

A spokesman for the star confirmed yesterday that he ‘remains in treatment’.
