PICK OF THE DAY
MY TOURETTE’S FAMILY, 9PM, CH4
HAYLEY and Richard DaviesMonk live in Oxfordshire with their two sons, Spencer, 13, and Lewis, nine (pictured). What sets them apart from other families is that both boys have been diagnosed with the neurological disorder Tourette’s syndrome. The condition c manifests in uncontrollable physical and verbal tics that are often inappropriate. Now, after years of struggling with the public’s reaction to the boys, they have decided it’s time to ‘come out’. This film follows the family’s quest to live as normally as possible, despite Tourette’s, revealing the challenges of everyday life as well as joining them on their first-ever holiday abroad.
