MANY of the world’s largest economies have said they want trade deals to take effect straight after Brexit. They include:

UNITED STATES: President Trump has promised a ‘very big and exciting’ deal. He has tweeted: ‘Could be very big & exciting. JOBS!’

CHINA: President Xi said he hoped for ‘golden era’ of stronger ties.

AUSTRALIA: Has said it sees ‘enormous opportunities ’.

CANADA: PM Justin Trudeau wants deal ‘the day after Brexit’.

INDIA: Says Brexit will create ‘opportunities to increase trade’.

GULF: Group representing Saudi Arabia and Qatar wants immediate ‘signature-ready’ deal.
