Joke jail sentence

THE maximum prison sentence for causing death by dangerous driving is 14 years, but has anyone ever received this?

The latest joke sentence is the nine years given to Robert Brown, high on drink and drugs when he mowed down two-year-old casper and sixyearold corey Platt-May, just six days after coming out of prison.

why are judges so reluctant to hand down stiff sentences? The families of victims have a life sentence, so why not those who commit the crimes?
