Out of the mouths of babes

I wAs at a car boot sale recently and bought an old clockwork Hornby train set for my ten-year-old grandson to play with when he comes to visit. I set up the track ready for him, and when he arrived, he was excited and keen to get the train set running. He picked up the engine and said: ‘Grandad, where do you put the batteries?’ I said: ‘It’s clockwork, son,’ and handed him the key.
