Duncan Painter, 47 Non-executive director, ITV

DUNCAN Painter, chief executive of global information firm Ascential, has joined ITV’s board.

He is a former Sky executive and worked as global product leader for Experian after it bought data firm Clarity Blue, which he founded seven years earlier, for £85m. The married father of four started his career in Dixons’s IT department before joining Hitachi Data Systems where at 23 he became the youngest board director in the firm’s history. ITV shares climbed 1.6pc, or 2.45p, to 154.1p.
