At last, Charles meets little Louis

THE Prince of Wales finally met his new grandson yesterday, nine days after the birth. Charles, 69, flew from Scotland to see Prince Louis, whose sister Charlotte was celebrating her third birthday.

It gave the prince, who has been staying at Birkhall, his Highland retreat, the chance to celebrate with the family, including eldest grandson George, four.

His wife Camilla had visited Louis on her own on Tuesday. When the baby was born on April 23, Charles and Camilla were spending time at Birkhall following a busy schedule. The prince was unable to fly down straight away as he had an official engagement in France.

The Queen, who has been at Windsor, flew to Kensington Palace by helicopter on Tuesday to see her sixth greatgrandchild. Prince Philip, 96, who is at Windsor recuperating from hip replacement surgery, has yet to meet Louis.
