C4 TO SHOW WALES TESTS

CHANNEL 4 will show all three Wales Tests this summer.

Sportsmail understand­s the broadcaste­r, not known for their rugby coverage, are signed up for Wales’ match against South Africa in Washington DC on June 2 and the two games in Argentina on June 9 and 16. It is understood the Welsh Rugby Union were in talks with Amazon to broadcast the Tests via their online-streaming service but negotiatio­ns broke down. The BBC were also interested but have missed out.

Channel 4 are a new player in the rugby market and are signed up to show nine European Champions Cup matches per year from next season until 2022.
