Are you in your element?
Tap into the power of the five elements to unlock your dream holiday desires and find a personal sense of harmony. Inextricably bound to the natural elements, all of our favourite locations are founded upon the earth, water, wind, fire and ether (space). Exuding the natural magic of the elements like no other, is Italy. Defined by an incredibly diverse landscape, its terrain is shaped by long sandy coastlines, verdant valleys, snow-capped mountains, plunging clifftops, rolling rivers and shimmering bays. Each of the elements are characterised by their own unique properties, which seamlessly intertwine to create one united landscape.
1 Earth
Since the Middle Ages, Tuscany has long been admired for its natural symbiosis between landscape and culture. Lush, plentiful and fertile, the historic rolling hills of the region have given birth to abundant culinary, artistic and architectural achievements. The mineral wealth of its founding earth element, means its nurturing landscape is lavished with wine-rich hills, olive groves, maples, birches, cedars, stunning red oaks and perfectly fashioned cypress alleys. With so much to offer, it is no surprise that the rural way of life here has changed all but little for hundreds of years.
2 Water
The triumphant existence of Venice lives upon the most powerful force of Mother Nature: water. Ordained in the classical past, its immortal waters reflect an impressive history of trade and navigation. Built on 118 islands at the head of the Adriatic Sea in Northern Italy, this fascinating floating city has to be seen, in order to be believed. Overflowing with charm, romance and elegance, the exquisite Queen of the Adriatic is like a magnet to steel, attracting visitors and leaving them disarmed by its grandiose conception.
3 Fire
Exploding into life 35,000 years ago, Mount Etna is the largest active volcano in Europe. Soaring into the skyline at 3,329 metres, Sicily’s fiery emblem dominates the landscape with its mysterious enormity. As strikingly scenic, as it is fearsome, Etna is the centrepiece of Parco dell’Etna, a stunning national park stretching over approximately twenty towns! The mysterious lunar landscape of black sand and historic lava rocks will leave all those that view it awe-struck. Beguiling and beautiful, Mount Etna offers several great hiking paths, as well as sensational all-encompassing views over the entire island, so you can behold the whole of Sicily’s intriguing medieval towns, symmetrical vineyards and quaint villages.
