The High Street is spoiling us with heels for every occasion, jazzy ankle straps to suit any outfit and embellishment that screams designer but is, in fact, Zara. Inspiration has been taken from British designers such as Camilla Elphick and Charlotte Olympia, who adorn their shoes with quirky touches such as flamingos and watermelons. One word of caution, though: be sure to keep the rest of your look simple. So forget accessorising with an elaborate hat or loud jewellery. Just polish off your summer get-up with a statement shoe.
