IF YOU struggle with ‘cankles’ — ankles merging into calves, with loss of definition — try a standing ankle circle with calf raises, says trainer Nadya Fairweather ( u-shape.co.uk).
Stand on your right leg, hands on hips. To warm up, circle the left foot ten times clockwise, then counter-clockwise. Switch legs and repeat.
Now, spell the alphabet with the left foot in the air, while doing heel raises with the standing right foot. Repeat for the left. Do three sets.
This promotes mobility in the ankle and works out the lower leg.
