This week: Katy Perry’s arms
IN A dazzling strapless gown, singer Katy Perry showed off her toned arms last month.
The 33-year-old trains with A-list favourite Harley Pasternak, who puts her through five gym sessions a week.
‘We’ll always start with a five-minute cardio warm-up, followed by an upper body exercise, a lower body one and an abdominal exercise,’ he said.
WHAT TO TRY: The bicep plié works the upper front arms.
Stand with feet wider than hip-width apart, toes pointed out. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and bend your elbows so that hands point to the ceiling and elbows point down. Then bend your knees into a deep plié squat — trying not to stick your bottom out.
As you squat, straighten arms towards the floor. As you come up, bring the weight to the start position. Repeat until you tire.
