REVAMP REJECTED

An overhaul of Barclays proposed by activist investor Ed Bramson will be rejected by bosses. Bramson’s fund, Sherborne, is the fourth largest shareholder, with a 5.4pc stake. He is rumoured to want a revamp of the investment bank to deliver bigger returns – or even for it to be sold.
