BROAD LEADS CHARGE AS NOTTS WIDEN GAP
ENGLAND seamers Stuart Broad, Jake Ball and Harry Gurney took three wickets apiece as Nottinghamshire extended their lead at the top of the Specsavers County Championship by beating Hampshire. Notts’ third win of the season was secured by a 203-run margin as Hampshire were unable to bat out the final day despite a defiant ton from Hashim Amla, who was last out for 112. There was also dogged resistance from Hampshire wicketkeeper Lewis McManus, who faced 58 deliveries for his two runs. In Division Two, Durham pulled off a stunning comeback win after following on against Leicestershire as James Weighell took a career-best seven for 32.
