Nigella’s double is Corrie harpy Carla

ONCE hailed as a domestic goddess, Nigella Lawson, 58, had to suffer the frequent indignity of being mistaken for pushy Coronation Street character Carla Connor, played by 45-year-old Alison King, when she was in Australia promoting her latest book. The ITV soap is very popular Down Under.

‘I find it flattering as she is very beautiful,’ says Nigella, ‘but I cannot see it myself. Corrie is huge in Oz, so I took the compliment.’
