Follow-up

FURTHER to malapropisms (Peterborough), my mother used to come out with some gems. I wish I had made a note of them, but one I do remember is when she referred to one of our outbuildings as having a ‘congregational iron roof’. I never heard any singing coming from there, but now I think about it, who were those people who used to turn up in our garden every Sunday?
