Cheers to our council

LABOUR shadow Chancellor John McDonnell was deluded. There was no way the London borough of Hillingdon would become Labour.

We have not had a council tax raise for 12 years, our libraries have all been refurbished, not closed, and rubbish is collected every week, unlike neighbouring (Labour) Harrow and Brent. Car parks are free for the first-half hour, so our shopping centres are vibrant, and the parks have been winning awards for years.

So, Mr McDonnell, we will not be changing anything!

IT’S pathetic the way the politicians described their party’s council election results as a success when it actually was a disaster.
