Hilda (She Who Must Be Obeyed) is down in Cornwall and expects her husband to be at her side. Phillida, for whom Rumpole has pined for years, hopes he will come to her. THE Boston-based band Darlingsid­e is made up of four musicians who sing in close harmony, often as not round the one microphone, to keep the sound tight.
