Mick and the ladies in red...

HELENA Bonham Carter gave guests an eyeful when she arrived at the Save The Children gala in north London this week.

The 51-year-old, who will play Princess Margaret in the next series of The Crown, sported a lowcut red dress, which she teamed with a red bow on her head and a £2,268 Dolce & Gabbana handbag.

She was joined by Sir Mick Jagger, 74, who was surrounded by a gaggle of female fans and later auctioned off his Fender guitar, signed by all the Rolling Stones, for £70,000.

Classical musician Myleene Klass fought for the spotlight in a £75 Littlewoods red jumpsuit.

Conspicuous by his absence was the charity’s former boss, Sir Alan Parker, who resigned last month amid claims of a cover-up of sex abuse allegations against two of his friends. ‘Sir Alan decided not to attend following his recent resignation,’ said a charity spokesman.

CHANEL’S creative director Karl Lagerfeld has lashed out at ageism in the fashion industry. ‘You know, the youth obsession is a kind of racism,’ the 84-year-old says. ‘Do you know how long my contract is? Until 2045. I have a lifelong contract and I am enchanted. My work conditions are fabulous and don’t exist anywhere else.’
